Installation and configuration guide for NES for Apache HttpComponents Client 5.1.x

Setup Instructions

NES for Apache HttpComponents Client 5.1.x requires Java 8+.

Configure Registry

Create or update your registry configuration:

Update Build Configuration

Add the NES repository and dependencies to your build configuration:

Look up a specific artifact version in the "NES Maven Artifacts: Paid Versions" table.

HttpClient is built on HttpCore. Spring Boot manages the two with separate version properties, so Spring Boot applications should also follow the NES for Apache HttpComponents Core 5.1.x setup to set httpcore5.version.

In a Spring Boot application that uses Spring Boot dependency management, set the httpclient5.version property to apply the NES version to every artifact that Spring Boot manages. See Spring Boot Dependency Management for details.

Build

In order to remove potential obstacles before building your project, make sure the following domains are whitelisted by your firewall/networking team:

registry.nes.herodevs.com
assets.nes.herodevs.com

This will ensure that your network/firewall allows connection to our registry.

Run your build tool:

Verification

To verify your installation, check that:

Dependencies are downloaded successfully
No version conflicts are reported in your build
Your application starts without errors
