Drop-in Replacement
NES for NHibernate keeps the assembly version at 4.0.0.4000, the same as upstream NHibernate 4.0.0.4000, so existing binding redirects and strong-name references keep working. Only the package and file versions change.
NHibernate depends on Iesi.Collections 4.0.0 or later. That version was never published, so NuGet resolves Iesi.Collections 4.0.0.4000 from nuget.org and reports warning NU1603. Upstream NHibernate 4.0.0.4000 produces the same warning, and it is safe to ignore.
NuGet Audit Warning
NuGet audit reports NU1903 for NES for NHibernate 4.0.0.4002, because the GitHub advisory for CVE-2024-39677 (GHSA-fg4q-ccq8-3r5q) covers every NHibernate version below 5.4.9. NuGet matches on version number alone and cannot tell that NES for NHibernate 4.0.0.4002 includes the fix. See the release notes for details.
